Orange Glazed Poppy Seed Bread

Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2-1/4 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons poppy seed
- 1-1/2 teaspoons Argo® Baking Powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3 eggs
- 1-1/2 cups milk
- 1 cup corn oil
- 1-1/2 teaspoons imitation orange flavor
- 1-1/2 teaspoons almond extract
- 1-1/2 teaspoons imitation butter flavor
- Glaze
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon imitation orange flavor
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 tablespoons butter OR margarine
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Mix flour, sugar, poppy seeds, baking powder and salt in large mixing bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil, orange and almond extract and butter flavoring. Beat 2 minutes with electric mixer.
- Divide batter evenly between 2 greased and floured 9 x 5-inch bread pans. Line bottom with waxed or parchment paper. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Combine glaze ingredients in small saucepan. Heat over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Pour glaze over hot loaves of bread, in pans. Cool completely in pan.
